Promotion of the English Day

 

Student 1:    Hi,

Student 2:    Hi,

Student 1:    After the exam, I’ve got nothing to do.  I feel so bored. (yawning) I spend all the time on playing computer games.

Student 2:   Do you know there will be an English Day on 23^rd July?  On that day, we can learn about drama.  We can watch a drama show, “The Tortoise and the Hare”. We can also play games and draw pictures.  Why don’t you join it?

Student 1:   That seems to be fun.  My mum wants me to speak more English.  She wants me to go to a Band 1school in the future.

Student 2:   That’s great.  Here’s a very good chance.  On the English Day, you can wear special costumes to school.  You can choose a character from one of the fairy tales: Beauty and the Beast, Tortoise and the hare, the 3 Little Pigs, Snow White or the Prince Frog. 

Student 1:    I know on that day, students with the best costumes can win prizes. Dear all schoolmates.  Let’s get ready with our costumes and join the English Day on 23^rd July.  It will be so much fun.

 

Teachers:  Boys and girls.  There will be an English Day on 23^rd July.  On the English day, you can speak English, watch drama and draw pictures.  You can even wear costumes at school.  You can choose 1 of the characters from the 5 fairy tales.  They are Beauty and the Beast, Tortoise and the hare, the 3 Little Pigs, Snow White or the Prince Frog.  Students with the best costumes can win prizes. Even if you don’t have a costume.  Don’t worry.  You can wear your PE uniform.  You can still join other games and activities. If you have any questions, you can ask your English teacher or refer to the parent’s notice 2019-325.  Hope you all enjoy your English Day.
